For episode 54 of Radio Tenthaus we are pleased to share a takeover by Oslo Open. Oslo Open gives everyone the opportunity to meet artists in their studios and have a glimpse into a space that is otherwise a part of the artist’s private sphere.
The episode begins with a recording of the digital studio visits that took place online on the clubhouse app. This conversation features artists Jiska Huizing, Hedda Grevle Ottesen, Pierre Lionel Matte, Ruben Steinum and Marthe Elise Stramrud.
In the second part of the programme Marianne Hurum (Oslo-based painter with several years of engagement working for artists’ rights) and Marthe Elise Stramrud (artist and director of Oslo Open) step into the role of reporters and let you tag along for informal and fun meetings with artist’s Martine Linge and Love Terins. The recordings were made on a live studio visit broadcasted on instagram during Oslo Open 18th of april this year. For the ones with curious eyes we can inform you that the visits will also be made available as video-files on Oslo Opens instagram profile later this year.
Throughout the broadcast we will also play music selected by some of the artists featured.
Oslo Open is an independent artist-run non-profit organization that was established in the year 2000 by artists and a number of local and national art institutions. The main task of Oslo Open is organizing an annual event where artists from the fields of visual art and contemporary craft open the doors to their studios for one weekend in April.
