The theme for the session is finding knowledge, hope and strength in unknown and unusual terrains to develop further a practice in sound and a relation to listening.
The conversation was between the musician Stina Stjern and Rikke Lundgreen. They touched into their artistic practices and the terms of otherness and transitions on a broader scope. That includes playing field recordings, music/sound works and picking up on text that relate to the topic.
Stina about her work with her long standing practice in the band DNA-And and how this has influenced her work. Other inspirations include esoteric practices in everyday life. Rikke will also talk about the listening rooms she has made during 2021.
Both are interested in sound in the expanded field, where textures and listening play a big part.
