Join us as we celebrate the life and work of legendary New York artist Rammellzee, in conjunction with the first ever exhibition of his work in Norway, currently at Kunsthall Oslo.
Rammellzee (1960-2010) was a visual artist, graffiti writer, performance artist, hip-hop musician and sculptor from New York City who, at the age of 19, transformed the nascent graffiti scene into an art form through the development of the theory of Gothic Futurism. With a pre-recorded interview with Will Bradley, artistic director of Kunsthall Oslo, about the origins of the show and his own fascination with this truly unique person.
Rammellzee – Ransom Notes is open Tue-Sun at 12.00-17.00 until 5 June. Focusing on the years 1983-93, it brings together painting, drawing, assemblage and sculpture, together with texts and rare archival material.
All City Radio is a bi-monthly broadcast of Street Art Oslo with in-depth critical debate and reflection on the world of street art and graffiti.
