Hello, how are you today? I am the producer and the host of Radio Tenthaus, Wei Ting. I hope that for those who had the autumn vacation, you got some rest or at least fun last week. And those who didn’t have the vacation, I hope that you are all hanging there, I know that we all need a vacation right now…
I was at Helsinki last week for some days, to participate in the event “Rehearsing Hospitality” organized by Frame (Contemporary art of Finland). I had the chance to meet with a lot of talented and amazing institutions, curators, artists, and educators. Also people who work on Radio as their practice, such as Radio Papesse, Lumbung radio, and stations of commons.
It’s really nice to able to share the way we work with each other, and how they use radio as a platform or art form.
Overall, we all share something in common, which is sharing and caring, by communicating with the public with a form that people are used to, and sharing resources with everyone. If you are interested in their radio program, I will put the links on our website.
For the program today.
I was contacted by artist Yngvild Færøy few weeks ago, someone that you are probably familiar with, she was on Radio Tenthaus several times since the begging of our radio program. She talked about an exciting project that she was working on for Architecture Triennale at Tøyen with the Trehus Team. And we thought that it will be interesting to share with the Radio tenthaus audiences.
The Trehus team includes Skaus, Eladio Ramm, and Yngvild Færøy, who meet up in their project -The wild relatives of culture, for the Oslo Architecture Triennale at Tøyen, talks about meetings between humans and nature. The conversation is approximately 50min. Later on we will also listen to the sound work The Wild Relatives of Culture.
We will also be listening to a playlist prepared by Yngvild. Before we dive ourselves into their conversation, we will warm up with the first song of today, “Sitting in the Palmtree” by ABBA.
